NIGHTLY RATE INCLUDES

• All nightly rates are based on double occupancy (covers up to 2 persons)
• All nightly rates include a substantial two course, Hot Gourmet Breakfast for 2 people, delivered to your suite each morning: Coffee and Tea, Juice, Fresh fruit salads, Warm Baking (freshly baked that morning), followed by a hot main breakfast course!

MINIMUM NIGHT STAYS **

• Minimum Two Night Stay on Weekends (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday ).One Night Stays accepted Sunday through Thursday Night only. Some Exceptions do apply: ie. One night reservations for Saturday nights are accepted if the Friday night (in that suite) has already been booked together with a Thursday night.
• If a one night stay in a suite is all that is available to a guest, based on availability, the lower 2 night rate (for that season) will apply.  
• There is a Minimum Two Night Stay in Summer Season: June 30th – September 5th. Exception: One Night Stays accepted June 30 – September 5th when only 1 night is available based on vacancy.

SUNSHINE COAST BC ACCOMMODATIONS - RESERVATION POLICIES

check-in / check- out:

Check-in is from 3:00 pm onwards. No earlier please, as we are preparing for your arrival. Earlier check-ins are sometimes possible but please call in advance of your stay to discuss arrangements for a possible earlier check-in time. Check-out time is 11:00 am.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Adult Oriented. A Place by the Sea is designed and operated as a romantic/peaceful getaway for an adult clientele seeking a tranquil atmosphere and is therefore unsuitable for children. No children under 13 years of age please. Thank you for respecting our policy.
2. No Pets Please. We do not accept pets or dogs of any size. Thank you for respecting our policy.
3. Minimum 2 night stay is required on weekends – Friday/Saturday night or Saturday/Sunday night. 1 night bookings are accepted Sunday through Thursday night. *One night reservations for Saturday nights are accepted if the Friday night (in that suite) has already been booked together with a Thursday night.
4. Minimum 2 night stay during summer season: June 30th – September 5th. Exception: One Night Stays accepted June 30th – September 5th when only 1 night is available in a suite based on vacancy. For these one night stays, the two night summer nightly rate will apply.
5. All Suites at A Place by the Sea accommodate a maximum of 2 people with the exception of the Captain’s Cove Suite, which can accommodate a 3rd person. There is a $50/night charge for additional person.
6. Suites are Non-Smoking. Smoking is permitted outside on decks and beach.
7. Accommodation rates are based on double occupancy and are in Canadian funds prior to 12% HST (Tax). A foreign exchange calculator is available on both our accommodations page and links page.
8. Season: Open year-round (Closed for Christmas: December 21st - 26th)

• A Deposit of one night’s room rate or 50% of room nights reserved (whichever is greater) is processed at the time of reservation to guarantee booking.
• Please Note: when booking a Packaged getaway, deposit required is 50% of value of room nights, not 50% of package value.The balance is due upon arrival or on your originally scheduled date of arrival, (whichever is earlier) and is charged to your credit card at that time.
• Reservations are guaranteed only upon receipt of deposit. We will honour your reservation by not offering your dates/room to anyone else.

cancellation policy for guest reservations sept 6 – june 29:

• Our Cancellation Policy for stays falling between September 6th - June 29th is 14 Days Advance Notice: You must contact us minimum 14 days in advance of the first day of your stay.
• A $40 Administration Fee applies to all cancelled reservations.
• A full refund of the deposit, less the $40 administration fee, will be returned with at least 14 days notice of cancellation. If you cancel with less than 14 days notice, we reserve the right to fully charge for all nights for which we are unable to secure a replacement booking. We will issue a full refund, less the $40 administration fee, if we are able to rebook the room(s) for the entire reserved period.
• Please note the following:
  • 14 days notice applies to any reduction in the number of nights you have committed to stay.
  • 14 days notice applies to guests requesting to move their reservation to a later date.
  • 14 days notice applies to stays booked with Gift Certificates.
  • ''No Shows' and unscheduled early departures are subject to full payment for all nights/packages reserved.
• Since our Sunshine Coast BC accommodation cancellation policies must be more restrictive than a hotel, we recommend that you purchase traveler's insurance to protect your vacation. A cancellation is very disappointing to both the guests who have decided to cancel and the owners of A Place by the Sea. More than likely, we have turned away other guests who would have reserved the room for your dates.

Last minute changes and cancellations of spa services affect the livelihood of our spa therapists.

• All Spa treatments, booked either a la carte or in a package, must be cancelled with no less than 48 hours notice.
• If at least 48 hours notice is given, services will be cancelled without charge.
• If less than 48 hours notice is given, 100% of the service price will be charged
• Failure to show: the entire package or service price will be charged.
