Dakota Ridge Recreation area is a winter paradise waiting to be explored. The Dakota Ridge Recreation Area offers world-class cross country skiing and snowshoeing on BC's Sunshine Coast, and is only a short 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. Dakota Ridge is a 1,532 acre plateau featuring 15 kilometres of track-set cross country ski trails (classic and skate) and 8 kilometres of snowshoe trails that wind through old growth forests and open areas in a beautiful subalpine setting.

Dakota Ridge is 1,200 metres above sea level and has amazing views of the Coast Mountains, Vancouver Island, and Georgia Straight! Dakota Ridge is accessed by 13 km of maintained 4-wheel drive forest service road.

LESSON PACKAGE: 1.5 hour lesson combined with an hour of exploring the Dakota Ridge area with your Alpha Adventures Ski instructor. TOUR PACKAGE: Join one of our Ski instructors for a guided tour of the Dakota Ridge area. You'll experience some excellent winter scenery as you explore the network of track-set trails. Basic skiing skills are a prerequisite. The package includes your rentals (optional), guiding, 4 X 4 transportation, trail fees and hot cocoa afterwards. 2 hours on snow.
